Chris McDuff
Chris has extensive experience in commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution, focusing on complex commercial disputes involving contract, negligence, Companies Act and in Insolvency claims, for creditors and liquidators.
Chris has also represented large corporate clients and British and Australian government departments in a number of commercial disputes as well as Counsel for Australia s then largest Construction project in a Royal Commission into the Building Industry. Chris has also advised the British Government in relation to the world s largest class action involving British Coal.
In 1996, Chris was awarded his LL.B from the University of Otago in New Zealand. In 2006 Chris attended Harvard Law School and completed a Negotiation and Mediation programme there. By the end of 2008, Chris will have completed his paper leading to an award of his Masters of Law at the University of Melbourne, Australia. Finally, this year Chris will be completing a Course in Global Insolvency conducted by the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals.
Chris is admitted to the Honourable Grand Court of the Cayman Islands (current) as well the High Court of England and Wales (current), the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of New Zealand.
